I am a DPhil student at the Department of Materials at the University of Oxford. I obtained my master’s degree in physics at the LMU in Munich. In my master’s project I worked under the supervision of Prof. Patrick Grant as a visiting student at the Department of Materials at the University of Oxford. My research was focused on developing novel process routes for materials used as the first wall or divertor inside a fusion reactor. These processes include joining dissimilar materials like copper and tungsten or steel and tungsten by using the Field Assisted Sintering Technique (FAST). In my DPhil I continue this research and focus on scaling up and testing the developed processes and materials.
