Senior Post Doctoral Researcher

Sivaraj Pazhaniswamy is a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher in the solid-state Li metal battery (SOLBAT) project funded by the Faraday Institution. He joined the Processing of Advanced Materials Research group at the Department of Materials, University of Oxford in November 2023. His responsibility includes research management across all relevant research in Professor Grant’s group and elsewhere in the SOLBAT project.

He obtained his M.Sc., M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Physics from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, India. He was a postdoctoral researcher and co-ordinator of an industrial project at the Bavarian Center for Battery Technology, Macromolecular Chemistry-II, University of Bayreuth, Germany (2021-2023). He worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, NGMC, Bharathiar University, India (2021). He was awarded a prestigious direct Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India.

His current research interests include the design and manufacturing of emerging solid electrolyte and electrode materials for scalable solid-state lithium batteries and anode-free solid-state batteries.
